	MISSION & VISION STATEMENTS Mission Statement: Our mission is to praise God, to work for God's kingdom, and to advance the Congregational Christian way of life through worship, education and involvement. Vision Statement: Acknowledging our deep historical roots and service in Christ's name in Los Angeles, First Church is entrusted with a rich, liberal inheritance in an ever-changing urban environment. Our vision for the future is an expanding community of believers achieved through emphasis on prayer, inspirational worship services, pastoral care, music and the arts, leadership development, education, and service to the community. In our ministry we will maintain the highest artistic and aesthetic standards, spiritually nurture the community, and fulfill our obligation as Christian stewards of the unique resources which God has entrusted to us.
