INTERESTING FACTS In 1992 First Churcb becomes the first church in Los Angeles to join Habitat for Humanity. Lloyd C. Douglas, a former First Church minister, brought spiritual insights to millions through his popular novels including The Robe and Magnificent Obsession. The Great Organs of First Church have approximately 346 ranks, 265 stops, 18 divisions and more than 20,000 pipes, constituting the largest church pipe organ in the world. Shatto Chapel is the same size as the original Mayflower ship. |
